Working principle of EPS foaming machine

EPS foaming machine is a common plastic foaming equipment, mainly used to produce EPS (polystyrene) foam plastic products, such as insulation materials, packaging materials, building materials, etc.

Working principle of EPS foaming machine:
EPS foaming machine mainly consists of foaming machine, expander, mold, cooler and other parts. EPS particles enter the foaming machine through the feeding port and undergo pre-foaming, heating, expansion, cooling and other processes to become foam plastic products with a certain density and shape.
Specifically, the working principle of the EPS foaming machine is as follows:
1. Feeding
After being screened and cleaned, the EPS particles enter the foaming machine through the feeding port. There is a heater and a stirrer inside the foaming machine. The EPS particles are heated in the heater and stirred evenly to pre-foam them.
2. Expansion
The pre-foamed EPS particles begin to expand after being heated and stirred for a certain period of time. At this time, the expander inside the foaming machine compresses the EPS particles and sends them to the mold. In the mold, the EPS particles are affected by pressure and heat and begin to expand further, forming foam plastic products with a certain shape and density.
3. Cool down
The expanded foam plastic products need to be cooled to solidify and shape. There is a cooler inside the foaming machine. After the foam plastic product is taken out of the mold, it is cooled by the cooler to make it reach the required hardness and shape.
