The material of the thermoforming mold of the EPS mold

1. Resin molds include resin female mold casting type, laminated resin mold, resin surface casting mold, metal coating resin or metal forming mold, resin filled shell metal spraying mold. The advantages of resin molds include: high precision, easy processing, and almost no shrinkage problems during repeated production; under normal circumstances, they have sufficient strength.

2. Any kind of wood can be used to make sample molds. For thermoforming molds that are only used for sample preparation, hardwoods of better material quality should be selected. Plywood is used as the supporting device of the pre-stretcher and the wood forming mold.

3. Aluminum is an excellent material for making thermoforming molds, with good thermal conductivity and easy processing. Aluminum molds often have surface resin casting. Because the inner core is aluminum, this type of mold is easy to achieve thermal balance, has no shrinkage problems, and can maintain high accuracy during repeated production. There are relatively few mechanical factors to consider, and the mold is easy to modify.

4. Steel has good strength and hardness, so it is mainly used to make forming-stamping dies.

5. Special material molding die. The advantage of this material is that it does not require vent holes or vacuum holes.
