Styrofoam EPS Pre-expander is a machine that is used to expand polystyrene beads into polystyrene foam. The process of expanding polystyrene beads is known as pre-expansion. The machine is designed to control the pre-expansion process by controlling the steam flow, temperature, and pressure.
The Styrofoam EPS Pre-Expander has a hopper where the polystyrene beads are fed. The beads are then transported from the hopper to the pre-expansion chamber by a screw conveyor. The pre-expansion chamber is fitted with heating elements and steam nozzles. The steam is injected into the chamber to increase the temperature and pressure. The pressure inside the chamber causes the beads to expand.
The expanded beads are then transported to the cooling chamber where they are cooled with air. The cooling chamber is fitted with a fan that blows cool air into the chamber. The cooled beads are then transported to the storage silo.
The storage silo is designed to store the expanded beads until they are ready to be used. The silo is designed with a discharge gate that allows the beads to be fed into the molding machine.
